18th Century Louis XV Period Buffet or Sideboard

A buffet made of walnut from the Provence region from the last quarter of the 18th century, this buffet was once a dough box with the top sliding forward. The box has been removed to allow more storage. A beautiful buffet with two arched doors above a pierced carved apron and two front legs ending with scroll feet. Warm waxed patina and the escutcheons are not original but are old and of the style. Circa 1760-1780. 34.25"H x 52"W x 23.5"D . Offered by Olivier Fleury, Inc.
