A Lutyens Furniture & Lighting Product
Designed for Viceroy’s House, New Delhi in 1929, the chair and sofa named for the date are classic Lutyens. The guilloche frieze of interlocking circles which forms the base of the chairs is a motif which Lutyens used throughout that building and in several others.
Originally designed as a chair and three seater sofa, we will make either to any width. The original version was fully upholstered but we also produce it with a caned back and sides.
