1930s Italian Murano Barovier E Toso Glass Lamps - a Pair
These very early, rare and gorgeous Italian murano lamps by Barovier e Toso have tons of gold aventurine interspersed with the bullecante. (bubbles) The fish are beautiful in their rich elegant colors of sea green and cranberry red with gold and gold aventurine. These are early mid century or even art deco and hard to find now. They are most likely from the early 30’s. The large fish is 9" W and 9" d on the tentacle pole and the small fish is 7" w x 7.5" D. The height below is only to the socket. It does not have shades or finials or harps. The tentacles behind the fish are so elegant and sculptural. The 2 step bases are gold leaf that is lacquered and the lamps are newly re-wired with gold cloth cords.The original pole is polished brass. These are very RARE and early examples of the maestro’s work. Hard to find!! STUNNING!!! and in mint condition!! They are a true find. Only sold as a pair please! These must be trucked for safety.
