1950s Vintage McGuire Rattan Center Table

Sorry, this product is no longer available on Dering Hall.

Beautiful bamboo rattan dining table by McGuire. An oval/oblong base is created by using a large amount of rattan/bamboo gathered in the middle. (In the manner of Paul Frankl). It reminds of a round sheaf of wheat gathered together and bunched in the middle. Pieces of lacquered rattan/bamboo are carefully affixed to create a lovely mid century look. Bound in the middle via a black high gloss braided ribbon of bamboo or rattan. The top of the base showcases each individual strand of bamboo/rattan that make it up. A VERY heavy oblong oval glass top rests on top of the base. Allowing guests to see the beautiful top of the base and all it’s detail. Tabletop on this mid century dining set includes small clear rubber protectors for use under the glass to prevent wear on the base. The glass top, with beveled edge is in wonderful condition. This beautiful rattan and cane dining table is a great way to begin planning for summer parties. Set this table with beautiful vintage plates and chargers. Think lots of tropical flowers and of course all food summer inspired. We can foresee this set hosting lots of clambakes, birthday parties and summer suppers. Call your friends, and tell them dinner at your place as soon as this beauty arrives. Base measures 27″ × 39″ × 20″ Glass measures 70″ × 48″. Signed by McGuire
