Adolph Gottlieb, American, 1903-1974. Serigraph on paper entitled “Black Field”, 7/150, 1972. Signed and dated in pencil at the lower left and numbered in pencil at the lower right; float framed within a very high-quality gallery wood frame. Very light rippling and creasing noted, slight bends to the corners – overall condition is exceptional. Image is 17 5/8″ × 24 1/8" high, paper is 27 5/8″ × 36 1/4" high, 30 1/2″ × 39″ high overall. Ex. Collection Gertrude Kasle, (Gertrude Kasle Gallery) Detroit, Michigan. The renowned Kasle Gallery and Ms. Kasle’s collection was recently the subject of a large-scale exhibit at the University of Michigan Museum of Art.
