Frieda Mae Logan (Springfield, Missouri, 1929-2004) “Double Elephant Plus”, 1994, still life painting, watercolor on paper, depicting a silk scarf with elephant print and black/white chevron pattern, a box of Animal Crackers with a plate of same with the elephant crackers featured prominently, an elephant shape teapot rests on a stack of books next to a lemon. Old Exhibition label verso reads “Wichita Art Museum – Kansas Watercolor Society”. Framed in gold tone metal frame, matted, under plexiglass. Measures 40.5in x 38.5in framed and 35in x 33in image only. Condition: Excellent vintage condition. Bio: Logan was a life-long Springfield Missouri artist. Bachelor; Kansas City Art Institute, 1951. Postgraduate; Kansas City Art Institute 1980. Postgraduate; Penn Valley College, 1982-1984.
