19th Century Louis XVI Carved Painted Bergere Armchair With Striped Fabric

Decorate a bedroom or den with this elegant antique armchair. Crafted in France circa 1880, the chair sits on delicate tapered legs over a carved apron. The tall curved back is embellished with ear shaped sides and the armrests are decorated with hand carved acanthus leaves. The piece is upholstered with a stripe cotton fabric in a neutral beige palette with a removable seat cushion. The French chair is in excellent condition with a rich rubbed off white patinated paint finish. Measures: 28.5" W x 31" D x 40" H.
