Antique Oushak Turkish Rug 46263 by Nazmiyal Antique Rugs
Designer Visions 2012
Softly colored and richly decorated, this marvelous antique Oushak carpet features an archetypal Turkish arabesque. Isolated motifs, floral emblems and cryptic symbols create a spectacular allover pattern that travels across the expansive field. The soft manila-yellow background provides a neutral canvas that highlights the individual botanical motifs beautifully. Dainty floral sprigs, radiant Tree of Life motifs, latch-hook accents and quincunx motifs that are paired with notched rosettes create a bold and distinctively Turkish allover arabesque. The warm peachy-orange borders are decorated with angular palmettes and formal botanical motifs that incorporate bright saffron yellows, bluish-tourmaline grays and all the tasteful accent colors that are featured in the guardbands and the beautifully decorated field.
Nazmiyal Antique Moroccan rugs are featured in House Beautiful’s apartment in the Designer Visions showcase. The apartment is designed by architect David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group and has a sense of drama that traces back to Rockwell’s roots in theater.
This rug will be available for delivery after the Designer Visions showcase closes.
