"Back Road in Vermont", Contemporary Landscape Painting by Stephen Remick
Titled “Back Road in Vermont (Double Yellow Line)”. Such a common scene while traveling through Vermont in the summer. Painted in 2018, this acrylic on a 3/4" wood panel measures 12" high by 16" wide. It’s framed with a simple wood lattice strip as shown in the last group photo with two other paintings of Vermont roads. It’s wired and ready to hang. Please look at the images carefully. This is painted very loosely with quick brushstrokes in a painterly manner with texture. There are two other sister paintings to this one if they haven’t sold yet in my shop. About the artist: Stephen Remick was born and raised in Vermont. He earned a BFA in Painting from Swain School of Design, a small art school in Massachusetts. He resides in a coastal New England town with his wife, Anne Carrozza Remick, who is also an artist on Chairish. (Steve and Anne’s daughter, Tess Remick, is on Chairish too.) Steve’s paintings are in private collections all over the U.S. and abroad.
