A highly unusual Biedermeier second period oval desk with ebonized highlights and inlaid writing surface, circa 1880s. A virtually identical desk illustrated in “Biedermeier” by Angus Wilkie p.96/97 similar to a desk purchased by Archduchess Sophie from Danhauser. Offered by R. M. Barokh Inc.
