One of the more rare designs by Atelier de Fantaisie. Polychrome design with penguins in different attitudes. The name Alfred which can be read under some vases might be a funny hint at the penguin drawn by Alain Sait-Ogan, who is considered the creator of the french modern strip cartoon; indeed, “Zig et Puce”, accompanied by their penguin, first appeared in 1925 in the french daily Excelsior.
