In 2015, Bjarne Hansen launched Nepal Projects as a way to bring education and employment to young Nepali women whose lack of opportunities often lead to destitution. Using his firm Menu as a platform, Bjarne collaborated with aid organization Danida to teach these women how to sew and weave. The result is a collection of accessories that unify the Scandinavian aesthetic of Menus designers with the skills of Nepali craftswomen. The Cotton Bag (2015) stands up for smart storage and features leather straps for swift transportation. Use it for laundry, firewood or trips to the beach. Made in Nepal.
