Custom Designed, Hand Made Solid Steel Shelves in Neoclassical Taste. This bookcase/display cabinet is constructed of solid steel with each shelf wrapped in perforated steel sheeting to allow light and air to circulate freely. The top of the piece has a free floating rectangular crown while each foot stands upon a square shaped moulded foot. When seen from the sides there is a single horizontal arm placed midway between the shelves to secure the objects on display. This arm is superbly simple in its appearance and adds a sculptural element while performing a necessary function. Because of the solid quality of the steel the piece is quite substantial in weight. The shallow depth enables it to be used in many locations within an interior where its modern line will provide a desirable focal point.
