Featured Room: Relaxing Bathroom

It’s my firm belief that every home – no matter how small – should have that one area that’s a total escape from everything else. Clutter, noise, laundry, bills…In my own home, my bedroom is my sanctuary. Its soft neutral tones and lack of clutter make for such a calming space! Of course, if I could have this room in my house, I’m pretty sure I’d be ending my days in a soaking tub instead of my bed…

Sheer perfection in a bath if you ask me! This space may be as large as some studio apartments, so yes, a bit unrealistic for many of us, but a little day dreaming never hurt, right? With plenty of open storage, that beautiful fireplace, a shower that seems as indulgent as the bath, and beautiful architecture and artwork, I’m ready to lock myself in for a few hours…

But if we’re dissecting, I think I’d replace that interesting wirey fixture with something a little softer. While I like the contrast and texture it provides, I prefer more classic lighting in here. And in reality, one area with space to hide unsightly products might be nice… I’m guessing those bins up above are providing that to a certain extent, but seem a little burdensome to reach? What do you think?
