Behind the Design

Brooklyn Beat: Suzanne Tucker Home

This fall, we took a trip over the bridge to explore the thriving community of artisans and furniture makers in Brooklyn, New York. From industrial workshops in east Williamsburg to red-bricked waterfront warehouses in Red Hook, the borough is a hub of creativity and cutting edge design. In many instances, tools, resources and knowledge are pooled together to support those just emerging on the scene. However, it isn’t just for new designers. More established studios are expanding their roots in Brooklyn, and even one of San Francisco’s most established interior designers uses the city as home base for her textile line. After Egg Collective, we took a visit to the Brooklyn space where Suzanne Tucker Home's textile line is based.
