This weekend thousands of design enthusiasts will flock to New York City's Javits Center to see what’s up and coming in the world of contemporary design at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF). The fair kicks off on Saturday, May 18 and features more than 500 exhibitors from across the globe with over 26,000 interior designers, architects, retailers, designers, manufacturers, representatives, distributors and developers visiting over the four day event. This year, Dering Hall will be providing event goers with a real world taste of the design talent and product offered on the site with a first look at new pieces from DH Designers Egg Collective, Huniford and Waterworks.
Recognized as ‘Best New Designer’ at ICFF last year, Brooklyn-based Egg Collective is showcasing its new Henry Dining Table, Haynes Mirror and Hawley Side Tables.
Henry Dining Table | Haynes Mirror | Hawley Side Table
The Henry Dining Table, above left, is inspired by the facets in gemstones and crystalline structures. This sculptural pedestal dining table seats 8-10 people. Providing a nice complement to the Henry Dining Table is the Haynes Mirror, which is a geometric glass wall-mounted mirror supported by delicate brackets inspired by jewelry settings. Egg Collective will also have on display the Hawley Side Tables, which are adjustable in height and can stand alone or tile together to create a larger surface.
Beekman Chair | Jacobson Sofa
New to Dering Hall, James Huniford will unveil a taste of his sophisticated furniture collection with two exquisite examples, the Beekman Chair and the Jacobson Sofa, both shown above. The design of the collection is inviting and “user-friendly,” which is attributed to its completely customizable option in both size and upholstery. The seating above perfectly illustrates the striking yet elegant territory between modern and classic that Huniford’s collection possesses.
Watt Wall Sconce with Ribbed Shade| Watt Wall Pendant with Ribbed Shade | Watt Wall Sconce with Glass Shade
Waterworks, another new Dering Hall designer, will show their Watt collection, inspired by the countless shapes and colors of telephone pole insulator covers. The collection features two styles of large-scale boron molded glass shades in clear, amber or blue. They are an original interpretation of a vintage form and available in sconces or pendants.
