The home's main area features living room, kitchen and dining spaces. With the interior design, Kaplan treated each area as a separate room, while keeping the aesthetic of each similar to create a cohesive feel.

The dining area is very much influenced by the beautiful flora of the tropics. The dining room and chairs are vintage from the 1960's. The chairs were upholstered with a geometric fabric from Zarin Fabrics to give a modern update.

In contrast to the white, bright look of the rest of the home, shades of blue are layered throughout the master bedroom. A custom macrame piece above the bed acts as an alternative headboard and stands out against the navy walls. The bedding is from ABC Carpet & Home.

In the guest bedroom, an eclectic mix of pattern gives the room a light and cozy feel. The wall hanging above the bed was a gift from Morocco.
