The minute one walks in to the apartment, it is clear that every detail was considered. Nisbet chose a rich mix of textures and finishes for the foyer that include the high gloss finish of the ceiling and the sapphire-colored bark skin wallpaper. Nisbet's Sherwill fixture, designed for
The Urban Electric Co., adds a glamorous accent above.

The living room was designed to be elegant yet also suitable for entertaining family and friends. A 14-foot tufted jewel-toned sofa and matching ottoman are both stylish and functional.

Nisbet created a cozy corner within the large living room with soft gray seating and throw pillows that pick up the rich colors of the room.

The kitchen, breakfast nook and family sitting area are part of one open large space and serve as the nexus of the home. Pops of citrus-colored accents energize the sophisticated look.

In the breakfast area, a banquette upholstered in a chartreuse embossed vinyl is paired with a cheeky photograph of Barbie and Ken by David Parise for added personality.

The dining room is full of drama and glamour with a magenta color palette and metallic accents. Silk wallpaper, layered gilt metal lighting and horsehair-upholstered dining chairs add to the rich layering in the space. Nisbet designed tables that can be pulled together to accomodate larger groups to give the room a flexible layout. The pattern in the carpet was designed to mimic the glittery chandeliers above.

A sultry photograph by Marilyn Minter hangs above a navy chesterfield sofa in the library. The picture is framed by Nisbet's Swank Sconces for
The Urban Electric Co. The varying shades of brown and blue used throughout the space bring a richness and dark glamour that is complemented by the lighter tones of the herringbone patterned Kyle Bunting carpet.

Metallic accents and soft blue tones create a unique and soothing look in the master bedroom. Nisbet designed the scalloped nickel bed, which adds texture and luminosity to the space. Custom details that include the colored wallpaper and hand-embroidered curtains with a unique edge add yet more layers to the delicate room.

The soothing look of the master bedroom is continued in the master bathroom with a subtle cloverleaf floor tile and sleek milk glass cabinetry with nickel detail. The divisions in the mirror above the vanity reflect the banding in the cabinetry below.

To maximize space in the son's bedroom without sacrificing style, the cupboards were upholstered in a brown felt with nailhead detailing. A back-to-back D above the bed reflecting his initials adds a personal touch. Boiled wool orange curtains and a custom carpet create a cohesive coziness in the room.

In the younger son’s room, Nisbet created a soft, masculine look with a palette of blues that ranges from the lively blue of the desk lampshade and chair to the more subdued blues and grays in the roman shades and bedding.

A budding artist, the daughter's room was enveloped with magnetic wallpaper and grosgrain ribbon to create a backdrop for her ever-changing creative projects.
