In a beautiful Cape Cod home in the exclusive Oyster Harbor private community outside of Boston, interior designer Tui Pranich created a casual yet fresh space that is both elegant and inviting. Pranich renovated the entire home, relocating the kitchen to the front of the house and opening up the entire back wall with sliding glass doors to provide a better view to the bay. Pranich also transformed the living room by adding a two story vaulted ceiling to create a warm and spacious feel that is sophisticated and stylish.
The architectural front of the house and entryway features a cream colored clapboard siding, balanced with a beige gravel main driveway.
In the living room, a J. Robert Scott sofa is framed by columns. Alongside, a white lounge chair and a lucite coffee table add a glamorous, modern touch.
The conversation area, which is just off the living room, Pranich used a neutral palette to give the space a soft, serene feel. The room is furnished with a contemporary J. Robert Scott sofa and custom bone side table and overlooks the gardens.
In the breakfast room, a white lacquer round table and tufted white upholstered dining chairs infuse a fresh vibe to the space. A glass chandelier warms up the space with a touch of elegance.
The guest room is finished in soft blue linen upholstery creating a relaxing place to linger in a calm ambiance.
The screened in porch has slate flooring and an upholstered sofa to add comfort while meditating on the water views. The patterned throw pillows add panache to the neutral furnishings.
The back patio has slate flooring and continues the neutral furnishings scheme through the home, as seen in the screened in porch. The comfy lounging furniture and plenty of open light makes it ideal for entertaining from the inside out.
The back of the house features a “New England” style porch, perfect for sitting around and chatting as the sun sets on the grassy gardens.
The contemporary pool area has wood decking with stone walls and a white fence for private moments. The upholstered wicker furniture provides comfort while the stone dining table surrounded by wicker cushioned chairs provide the perfect place to dine in the sun.
