A smoked mirror covers the entire entry wall, brightening the space. A contemporary console in gray stained Lati timber has bronze mesh inset panels, which allow the air flow from the cooling system.

The home includes a large double reception room with sitting and dining areas that features a beautifully detailed original plasterwork ceiling. Contemporary lighting was used to create a subtle contrast to the plasterwork without obscuring the beautiful craftsmanship. The chimney breasts are in polished plaster and reflect a subtle glow from the lights.

The mirrors in the dining area reflect those in the sitting room to keep the two areas of the reception room unified. The dining table is made from a gray zebrano timber.

The kitchen, custom designed by
ACI, incorporates discreet storage throughout. The island and countertops are moon rock marble and finished in a white matte lacquer. The gray herringbone flooring is continued in the kitchen, creating a cohesive look through the entire home. Smoked glass pendants from Lasvit, one of the firm’s favorite Czech lighting companies, hang from the ceiling.

The powder room features wallpaper with a polished plaster effect and a floating vanity made from Grigio Orbico Marble. A darker color palette was used to create a dramatic atmosphere in the small space.

In the master bedroom, bevelled mirror panels on the closets reflect light and make the space feel larger. Sliding doors open to the ensuite bathroom beyond.

The adjacent bathroom features large format Calacatta Oro tiles and a long marble vanity unit with plenty of storage above. Recessed lighting was added behind the mirrored medicine cabinet to brighten the space.

The large guest bedroom at the front of the home features blue upholstery and bedding as well as an elegant full height silk headboard. Blue is also carried into the bedside tables, which are made from a blue-dyed, high gloss birdseye maple veneer.
