Century building was updated by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1912.

This view highlights three of four identical custom-made bookcases that were designed to stand against one wall, produced from American walnut with details designed bespoke by

The Ballroom, one of the most architecturally significant rooms within the Grade II listed property is beautifully furnished with timeless pieces. The focal points within the space are provided by two Ralph Lauren Desert Modern sofas, upholstered in Andrew Martin fabric. Either side of the centre sofa sit table lamps from Armani/Casa upon Ralph Lauren Brook Street Octagonal side tables. Lastly draping over the sofa, a fox-fur throw custom made by
MPD, subtly adding a soft finishing touch.

The image shows elegant furniture pieces by Ralph Lauren; including two Grant armchairs upholstered in de Le Cuona velvet fabric which flank the One Fifth side table. These are accompanied by the Hayward Floor Lamp and atop a custom-made bamboo rug, edged in leather. A beautiful backdrop is provided by sheer curtains from de Le Cuona.

Within the Georgian room, the eye is drawn
to an original 18th-century fireplace, surrounded by a marble hearth
restored to its original state. The artwork hangs on a Picture-Rail
system by RayLight so as not to disturb the listed fabric of the
room. The room is dressed by an assortment of glass hurricanes and photo frames
by Ralph Lauren, as well as two antique consoles next
to the fireplace.

This stunning view shows traditional pieces with a few contemporary twists. The centre Nimba light from Santa&Cole is an example of this, successfully transporting a period home into 2013, as well as the Hudson Grid coffee table which is positioned directly below. The Ralph Lauren Rue Royale Armchairs are upholstered in brown suede chosen by
MPD and in the corner we can see the Ralph Lauren La Boheme writing desk.

A neutral toned custom-made sofa by
MPD is the central point within the room, inspired by the original Chanel sofa from 1920s/30s, with Ralph Lauren Mayfair side tables and Modern table lamps sitting either side. The backdrop reveals sophisticated blue velvet curtains and white sheers from de Le Cuona and Painted walls by Farrow & Ball.

The client’s personal books and photo frames add the finishing touches to the room, giving the room a loved and lived-in feel. Each piece of hanging artwork sourced by the client and tells a story of their travels and gives a sense of their personalities. The centre point is an original Andy Warhol classic, his depiction of Tse-Tung Mao, the two large paintings above the antique console table are from Anja Niemi. All artwork frames are bespoke pieces by John Jones to suit the space.

The Duke Bar in rosewood from Ralph Lauren brings a masculine feel to the room and is inspired by the 1930s. This is accompanied by canvas artwork and a centre frame by John Jones displaying a contemporary piece.

The master bedroom oozes masculinity with bold colours and striking furniture. The Rue Royale Ralph Lauren bed, upholstered in de Le Cuona fabric is the central feature, tied in with the strong colour palette of the de Le Cuona curtains and the wallpaper and Noble Estate bedside tables also supplied by Ralph Lauren.

Layered bedside lighting was achieved with the flexible Snaker lights by Vertigo Bird. These, along with the antique sourced bedside table lamps, set the perfect ambience for bedside reading.

One of many guest rooms, the theme for the guest room was designed around a more neutral palette. The wallpaper and curtains, both from Designers Guild, provide a cosy tone for guests and visitors as well as the neutral toned bed-linen which sits perfectly on the country inspired bed from Ralph Lauren. Cannes Gueridon side tables and armchair from Ralph Lauren.

A second guest room, based on
an African theme, ties in earthy colours and warm tones,
with a leopard print rug and a selection
of safari-inspired photography on the walls. The de Le Cuona canopy
drapes over a 4-poster bed from OKA, and either side of the bed sits the Sussex side table from Ralph Lauren and a chest of drawers from
Starbay. The sand-coloured curtains, sheers and bedlinen is supplied by de le
Cuona and the tones blend in perfectly with the Ralph Lauren wallpaper.
