See What Inspired a Palm Springs Powder Room

For the inaugural Palm Springs Modernism Week Show House, Tamara Kaye-Honey of House of Honey brought her eye for color, pattern and texture to the home's Powder Room where the playful glamour of the area was the ultimate inspiration.

What room did you do?

We were very excited to be asked to participate in the 2014 Christopher Kennedy Compound Show House designing the Powder Room. The Powder Room is that unexpected glimpse into the home's personality and style. We were able to create a jewel box that is both glamorous and witty. A powder room allows you to takes risks and is that perfect stage for bold patterns, exaggerated shapes and shimmering finishes.

What are your favorite elements of the room?

Black and metallic finishes, dramatic lucite, mirror and brass accents are all wrapped in the delicious Fornasetti Aquario wallpaper, our hands-down favorite element of the room. I think the space is very grown up, yet it does not take itself too seriously.
