Tour a Modern North Carolina Renovation with a Stunning Contemporary Art Collection Designed by S. Russell Groves

New York City based architecture firm S. Russell Groves turns a previously unremarkable house nestled in Raleigh's Hayes Barton neighborhood into a relevant, modern and extraordinary residence perfectly suited to the clients, a jet-set professional couple with a young family. With a design emphasizing Art Deco and traditional Southern and French styles, vintage and contemporary furnishings, many of them custom designed, compliment the sophisticated finishes: printed linen wall coverings, deep stained cherry wood paneled walls, and silk rugs. Topping off the layered tableau are bold and kinetic works by Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Robert Longo, and Donald Sultan, which are showcased throughout. The result is a glamorous, feminine and subtly eclectic environment that evokes a cultivated but casual lifestyle.
