The living room is welcoming with custom club chairs, a resin drum table from Oly and limestone fireplace. A TV provides entertainment options for the room but is hidden away within an armoire from Robert Lighton when not in use. Above the mantel hangs “Deer in a Gentle Landscape,” a favorite from the client’s collection of Asian screens. Completing the design are a grasscloth wallcovering from Philip Jeffries and a wool rug from Merida’s John Mahoney collection.

On the other side of the living room, a custom sofa and chairs are covered in the designers’ favorite Holland & Sherry fabrics. The custom designed and intricate embroidered sofa pillows are also from Holland & Sherry. The Asian elements of the Robert Lighton coffee table play off the screen opposite.

Sunny and open, the kitchen was designed for activity. The pale gray cabinetry and stainless steel appliances give the kitchen a fresh and clean feel, while the open floor plan lends itself well to cooking and entertaining.

The second floor family room is cozy and subtle. A sisal rug and wooden blinds add natural textures, while a Kate Cordsen photograph and hand printed Groves fabric on the ottomans and sofa pillows add a serene artistic interest. A custom swivel chair opens up the seating area, and glass doors allow natural light to wash over the space.

The master bedroom is spacious and light-filled. The four poster bed is by Robert Lighton, and the seating area features a custom sofa with contrast piping, Holland & Sherry pillows and contemporary Asian screen, which hangs on the wall. The rugs are Elizabeth Eakins, and the lamps are Hwang Bishop.

The guest room is quiet and relaxing. The Elizabeth Eakins rug adds warmth underfoot, and Hwang Bishop ceramic lamps add texture and form. The crisp white linens are inviting and cool, while embroidered pillows add subtle detail.
