Behind the Design

Tucker Robbins at the Armory Show

This year, the Armory Show comes full circle with Tucker Robbins paying homage to the groundbreaking pieces exhibited 100 years ago by Constantin Brancusi at the 1913 International Exhibition of Modern Art. Representing the first modern art exhibition in the United States, the American art and design world was shocked 100 years ago by this show, which was held at the 69th Regiment Armory on Lexington Avenue between 25th and 26th streets in New York City, and featured pieces by Brancusi, Marcel Duchamp and Henri Matisse as well as other American and European artists.
