In 2001, siblings Joe and Catherine Bartolomei founded Farmhouse Inn - a world-class hotel that balances the intimacy of a country b&b with the luxury of the finest hotels. Born and raised in Sonoma county California, and hailing from five generations of farmers and vintners, the brother sister team carry wine country in their blood and their goal for the inn was to reflect just that.
Assisting them in their recent renovation and expansion of the inn, were ValleyCrest landscape, Myra Hoefer Design and the renowned SB Architects. Known for their sensitive, site-focused approach to design, SB built upon the founders' commitment to authenticity of place and history by infusing nostalgic elements like wrap around porches, barn-style architecture, and indoor/outdoor fireplaces with just the right touch of modernity.
With looks, luxury and a Michelin-starred restaurant to boot, its little wonder the Farmhouse Inn has made a name for itself as the best hotel in California and one of the very best hotels in the world.
