For us, one of the best parts about fall is all of the great decorating books that come out in September and October. Some of our most favorite designers are coming out with new books (Jeffrey Bilhuber, Michael S Smith) and others with their very first book (Carrier and Company, Timothy Whealon). We couldn’t be more excited (seriously!!) to get our hands on all of these incredible new sources of inspiration. So, without further ado, here are the books we’ll be pouring over during the next few months.
NYC-based Jeffrey Bilhuber’s latest book will showcase his most recent work. If you’re a fan of Bilhuber’s, you’ll want to pick up his older three books (which still feel incredibly fresh and relevant). Jeffrey Bilhuber: American Master written by Sara Ruffin Costello with a foreword by Mariska Hargitay (Oct 20).
TV personality and LA-based designer Emily Henderson has penned her first book with Clarkson Potter. We think the concept of this book — how tostyle tabletops and other surfaces throughout your home is going to be a really helpful one to so many people. If you have any interest in how these book covers are decided by publishers, you’ve got to read Henderson’s super insightful blog post. She re-shot and re-styled her cover so many times before arriving at the perfect image! Emily Henderson Styled (Oct 13).
