Juan Carretero's Hudson Residence

What I love most about Juan Carretero's Hudson home is the richness and juxtaposition of the most unusual yet perfect muted jewel tones. Can we take a wild guess that Farrow & Ball had something to do with it? The interior designer and his partner underwent a two-year extensive renovation to bring this turn-of-the century home back to its original stature. Old and new co-exist seamlessly in the Carretero home, where flea-market finds, Biedermeier and Gustavian furniture live next to cubist sculptures and modern art. The result is a wonderful meeting of old world European charm with the quintessential Upstate New York modern farmhouse.
