George Nakashima 12-Drawer Dresser Widdicomb Origins, 1960
This is a walnut 12-drawer dresser designed by George Nakashima as part of his Origins line manufactured by Widdicomb dated 1960.
The dresser drawers are Laurel set in a case of American walnut.
The top has a graceful slightly concave overhang running the length of the seven and a half foot cabinet.
The design of the brass pulls is based on the lintel of a Japanese temple gate
The interior of one of the drawers is stamped and dated and has the shadow of Widdicomb label.
