Illuminated Side Table From SS Stella Solaris Cruise Ship

Sorry, this product is no longer available, please visit incollect for related products.

The French liner SS Stella Solaris was launched in 1953 as a transatlantic ocean liner. In 1971, it was remodeled and re-comissioned as a Mediterranean cruise liner. Giovanni “Nino” Zoncada designed the interiors. Zoncada was one of the premier designers of Mid Century ocean liners, often working with Gio Ponti. This lovely table features a striated polished marble top, lit from the underside. The top is trimmed in polished aluminum, as is the base. The body is painted metal, and the base is a lacquered hardwood. The table has been restored and rewired, and displays beautifully. Offered by Off the Wall Antiques, Inc.
