“My design appreciation nurtures the LOOK of a space, whilst my design instinct enhances the FEEL.

Yet it is my insight into design relevance that allows me to truly deliver a home that SPEAKS to my client’s very core."

Sydney born Bronwyn Poole established Touch Interiors two decades ago with a vision to connect homeowner and house, to create spaces that are immeasurable beautiful, simply because they are in perfect unison. Bronwyn brings her love of luxe layered interiors and fuses her distinct Australian freshness and authenticity to create rooms like no other. Showcasing a portfolio that speaks more about the people she cares to work with, Bronwyn’s interiors are solely inspired by her ‘Space Healing’ design philosophy which honors both her client’s told and untold stories. Always paying respect to aspirations, budget, tastes, and needs, Bronwyn skillfully maps emotion and behavior with color, proportion, texture and purpose to create genuine sanctuaries that become the backdrop to a extraordinary new chapter ready to be lived.

Ten Questions

What’s your go-to classic color choice?
Often white or off-white walls to layer color, texture, textiles and art. A selection that talks personally to the individual is a must as I love to create collected interiors that tell my client's story. I try to include color in all my projects rather than relying on a tried and tested palette. Using color creatively, and with intention, is where one truly experiences joy in their space.
Is there a hotel that’s most inspired your work while traveling?
Le Sirenuse in Italy's Positano, The Parker in California's Palm Spring and The Bowery in New York City.
Which pieces of technology do you use to document design inspiration?
Pinterest, Instagram, Layout & Photoshop are my four go-to tools. I only use these platforms once the direction has been set for the project. Pinterest & Instagram are the perfect research platforms to find solutions to the problems I am trying to resolve within the space. However, I often warn my clients not to begin with them when seeking inspiration. Inspiration must come from the space and client alone and remain untainted by external influences. The Instagram app Layout & the software Photoshop are great tools for mocking up product combinations to visualize how they talk to each-other.
Where do you go to spot new style?
Fashion and Landscape Photographers. I love seeing how photographers interpret the colors of nature and how they manipulate their images to create a mood and connection. I follow a few amazing individuals on instagram.
Do you have a favorite restaurant (for the design and the food, of course)?
Bathers at Balmoral Beach in Sydney Australia & Scopa Roots in Venice California.
What’s your favorite small museum in the world?
The Powerhouse Museum in Sydney's Ultimo for its dynamic and every changing design exhibitions and New Orleans Museum of Art for its collection and amazing entry staircase.
How do you usually start your weekend?
Cuddles with my three kids in bed followed by a walk along Santa Monica beach and a coffee at Annenberg Beach House.
Who or what is your biggest design influence?
Absolutely my clients first and foremost are my biggest design influence; their journey and their aspirations (and often their wardrobe). Followed shortly by their space; the heritage of the architecture and the immediate landscape.
How do you keep it all together?
I keep it all together with artful layering and a keen eye for color, materiality and texturizing. It needs to all be in harmony, always!
Design a garden: groomed or freestyle?
Definitely a mix. Some areas call for order while others call for freedom. It's about creating a journey through the garden with areas that influence an intentional behaviour and emotion.
