Rare pair of sought after John Dickinson trompe-l’oeil pedestals. Design of thick draped linen over top wrapped with cinched rope ending in large tassels. Herald as one of the 20th century’s most important and acclaimed furniture and interior designers John Dickinson was a top designer in San Francisco in the 60’s and 70’s creating trompe-l’oeil objects out of concrete and steel. A play with traditional decor with untraditional materials. This pair of plaster pedestals is excellent condition. Minor chips have been professionally restored and surface has been finished in white semi-gloss lacquer for durability.
