Large 16-18th C. Parrot Head Study Prints - Set of 6

Chairish

Sorry, this product is no longer available on Dering Hall.

A gorgeous set of six reproduction prints of Parrots Heads Studies. The Cockatoo print is after the original 18th century Cockatoo watercolor by Dutch painter Aert Schouman or Aart Schouman (1710-1792). The others- of Scarlet Macaw, two pieces of Gray Red-tailed Parrot, Green Parrot and Red Parrot are after 16th century watercolors by Anselmus Boëtius de Boodt (1550 – 1632), Flemish scientist and artist. Very detailed. Names of the birds and the artist’s names are in Dutch under the images. The dimentions are for each piece. Copyrights – Mira Parker Antiques & Design. First Limited Edition. Printed in the U.K. on linen mat paper to keep vintage flavor for the artwork. Superb quality. Excellent condition – new, never used. Exclusively from our shop. The Parrots Head Studies Collection was created by us. Photographs of the original 16th and 18th centuries watercolors of the parrots were cleaned from heavy foxing and imperfections, the birds were brushed with our magic brushes. Parts of the images were removed and placed on another background to become separate prints. Then our beautiful birds flew over the ocean to England, where they were published, and now they are back and ready to fly across the country to their new homes. I hope you will like them!
