Large Carlo Nason for Mazzega Chandelier, Italy 1960s
Large Carlo Nason for Mazzega pendant/chandelier. A light metal structure holds six large glass petals darker on top and clear but texture rich in the lower part. The light socket that is inside is covered by a bubble infused glass globe that hides it well while still giving out plentiful light. Mazzega IVR was founded in 1938 and ceased its activity in 1983 although the brand has been resurrected under the name Mazzega srl. During the fifty years of existence Mazzega IVR employed great master glassblowers such as Ermanno Nason and Pino Signoretto. Literature: Mazzega production catalog.
