Large Stoneware Coupe Ceramic Bowl in Yellow Glaze by French Potter Edmond Lachenal
Beautiful large Art Deco stoneware coupe bowl made by renown French potter Edmond Lachenal circa 1920s. Exceptional size at 13.25" in diameter and 5.875" tall in a stunning yellow glaze. Edmond Lachenal was instrumental in developing Art Nouveau ceramics in France in the late 1800s. His works are included in collections in The Louvre, Musee D’Orsay & The Metropolitan Museum of Art. The bowl is in exceptional condition with one very tiny fleck of glaze loss that is photographed on the rim. Brilliant signature underneath. This is a piece of art history and an amazing centerpiece.
