Lucite Iceberg" Dining Table by Stephen K. Frye for Lion in Frost
A very rare and complete assemble of “Iceberg” dining table by Stephen K. Frye for Lion in frost and dated 06/82. Lion in Frost is one of the most leading manufacturers that pioneered the use of Lucite in furniture design. The dining table is supported by two molded Lucite bases (2-3 inch in thickness) that resemble icebergs. Sculptural in form and rich in details with subtle curvy and undulating edges. Signed and dated on one of the base. Each base measures 28-1/2" H x 24-1/4″ × 24″.
They currently support a large glass top of 40 by 74 inches, which can be adjusted according to ones need. It can easily support a much larger glass top such as 48 by 96 as shown in the other similar piece. The two bases are versatile and can be used as a dining table, a large desk or a center table for displaying art objects. Whatever it is, it makes a strong visual statement. Offered by Tishu
