The iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, interpreted as a jewellery box.

The box is hand crafted from Swiss pear and cherry with grey sycamore, rosewood and ebony inlays. Featuring carved Corinthian columns and mouldings, and a secret hiding place for the key within the framework of the roof – a true demonstration of precision and craftsmanship.

The making of an architectural box involves the use of many key English cabinet making techniques and requires a high degree of skill and accuracy.
