Mid-Century Horse-Form Bar Cart by John Risley
This whimsical rolling horse cart with its elegant sculptural lines of bent and welded iron wire is often attributed, incorrectly, to Frederick Weinberg. The maker was John Risley, an artist, sculptor and furniture designer of the same period and the piece was made circa 1960. Although it can be used as a serving cart, it works equally well as a side table, a display stand or simply as a piece of sculpture. Cart features a lift out tray with a glass insert. Finish has been professionally restored. Casters work smoothly and piece is structurally sound. Glass insert is new.
