Designed by George Nelson for Herman Miller. Makers Mark and signed. Zeeland Michigan. Original Vintage Mid-Century Modern versatile birch plywood dressers from the BCS feature a lacquered front, natural trim and black lacquered legs with four drawers accented by the iconic “J” pulls. Architect, designer, and writer, George Nelson was a central figure in the mid-century American modernist design movement; and his thoughts influenced not only the furniture we live with, but also how we live.Pair of chests of drawers in good vintage condition consistent with age. Herman Miller label. All legs are sturdy and cabinets are in good condition. J pulls are in good condition with minor scuffs and putting. The cabinets have been restored to original. We left the drawer fronts in the original finish to add to the authenticity of a period piece. If you would like to purchase these cabinets with repaired drawer faces we can accommodate your request. Top drawer and bottom drawers have dividers, all drawers pull out well. Insides have been cleaned and restored as well.
