Missouri Ozark Countryside Impressionistic Plein Air Painting
Monet had his Giverny, I have my Indian Creek. For the past 30 years I have been visiting a cabin in the Missouri Ozarks that a friend of the family owned, before my mother bought, as she loved to go out there also. I paint here most of the summer. It is my Giverny. Presented here is a small plein oil titled ‘After a Rain’. You can the water in the tire rut. I have been honored with juried artist designation by the American Artists Professional League, N.Y, N.Y. and have received the Jesse Beard Rickley Memorial Prize for Oil Landscape. St. Louis Artist Guild. St. Louis, MO. The painting is 8" H by 10" W and is lightly varnished. The frame is an antiqued silver look and measures 10"H x 12"W.
