Mller Model 62 Armchair
In 1944, Niels Otto Mller founded J.L. Mllers Mbelfabrik in Denmark, a company that has received many awards, including the Danish Furniture Prize in 1974 and 1981. My father never compromised on anything, says Jrgen Henrik Mller. When he designed a chair, he would find the materials and then design the furniture. Each design took him five years to complete. Even today, the company continues to embrace handcrafting traditions to create pieces such as its Mller Chairs. The Model 62 Armchair (1962) is marked by a seat handwoven from one continuous 425-foot-long piece of cord and a frame made of raw wood carefully selected from sustainable sources and meticulously polished by hand (machines are never used, as these devices treat all wood the same and cant replicate the finish that comes from polishing by hand). Mllers remains a small family-owned business, now managed by Jrgen Henrik Mller. This is an authentic Mller Chair by J.L. Mllers Mbelfabrik. Made in Denmark. The above-average arm height allows you to rest your arms comfortably without having to lean to one side. Because of this, the arms will not slide under most tabletops, which is precisely what Mller had in mind.
