Model 2097 30 Chandelier
Gino Sarfatti was an industrialist and designer, and the combination shows in his Model 2097 30 (1958). In his 30-year career, Sarfatti produced more than 400 lamps and was known for tireless research into new materials, production methods and sources of light. A steel suspension light providing indirect light, Model 2097 uses 30 bulbs arranged around a steel tube and held in place by chromium-plated horizontal arms. In contrast to the strong horizontal and vertical lines, the electrical wires gently curve from each lamp to the stem and give this modern icon a hint of traditional chandelier shape. The Venice-born designer held a degree in aeronaval engineering and was instrumental in advancing the modern architectural movement in lighting through his work for Arteluce, which he founded, and Flos. Bulbs (included): 30 incandescent 15W/120V/E14.
