Monumental Early 19th C Gilded Convex Eagle Girandole Mirror

Sorry, this product is no longer available, please visit incollect for related products.

This magnificent Girandole mirror, circa 1800, features its original convex mirror and exceptional gilt carvings. The crest is an outstretched eagle on pedestal with chained tassels flanked by a pair of opposing dolphins spouting water. The mirror has six candle arms with elaborate crystal bobeche. We believe the mirror to be English, but could possibly be American. There is a comparable mirror in the DeWitt Museum in Williamsburg, VA. Offered by David Skinner Antiques & Period Lighting
