Vintage Murano Glass Bowl by Dino Martens - 1954
Offering an authentic Murano glass bowl by Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, made in Italy, circa 1950s. This rare spectacular glass bowl has the traditional Dino Martens style of copper aventurine caning with red and white spirali. The base is filled with gold aventurine. Truly a unique and rare bowl by an Italian glass master. Most likely made in 1954…an avant-garde design for its time. EXCELLENT CONDITION. No issues whatsoever…just perfect! Please note: in some of the photos the spirals look a little orange and in actuality they are red. The aventurine spirals are a sparkly light copper. A great decorative item for the high end Luxe consumer, a Murano glass collector , or for the new eclectic Boho Chic decor. MEZZA FILIGRANA: Mezza filigrana technique was made famous by Dino Martens and used from the late 17th century to the present. A unique hand blown decorative glass technique that utilizes colored caning and spiraling to achieve its desired effect.
