Pair of 1950s Danish Lounge Chairs in the Style of the Clam Chair by Arctander

Sorry, this product is no longer available on Dering Hall.

Pair of charming lounge chairs made in Denmark from beech wood and covered with wool. This design is seen from time to time in the Danish market and it is being speculated that the model is made by famed maker, Schubell and Madsen as the chairs share are lot of similarities with their model “Pragh” chair. Another interesting aspect of these chairs is the stance and Silhouette being very reminiscent of Phillip Arctander’s famous clam chair albeit a more modern version and thus very charming. Overall sturdy construction with the beech wood arms and legs previously stained but now in a raw sanded finish. Later re-upholstered in a blue wool from Kvadrat with the fabric being in good clean and usable condition showing only minor wear. Overall good condition. We are happy to refinish the wood in any color you may prefer and can also assist with re-upholstery.
