One of the most prominent Czech furniture designers, Jindrich Halabala served as head designer for UP Manufacturing in Brno between 1930 through the mid-1940s. Having designed most of the “H” model furniture his most recognized pieces are armchairs with their comprehensive streamlined design and bentwood frames. This pair features two Greek alphabetic “Alpha” shaped sides, which start as armrests then curve down to create the base and feet of the chair. Their sleek cantilevered frames has been completely restored and their seats reupholstered.
