Pair of Viggo Boesen Attributed Danish Lounge Chairs Flamed Birch Open Armrests

Sorry, this product is no longer available on Dering Hall.

Sublime pair of lounge chairs made by Slagelse Mobelvaerk of Denmark in the 1940s with the design attributed to Viggo Boesen. These elegant chairs display the same leg design seen on other of Boesen chairs and the wooden armrests in solid flamed birch are also typical for many of his iconic designs. The chairs are in overall very good condition showing appropriate age wear remaining solid and sturdy. Covered in what appears to be the original wool fabric still in good clean usable condition. Slagelse was a prolific manufacturer from the 1930s and through the 1950s and manufactured many designs for Viggo Boesen as well as Flemming and Mogens Lassen – making some of the most valuable and sought after furniture of the midcentury era.
