Peter Buchman "Charcoal Plaster" with Frame, 2014
Contemporary artist Peter Buchman’s “Charcoal Plaster” is made of joint compound, plaster, paint on wood with a white frame. This piece is an attempt at controlling the uncontrollable. Or is the artist being somewhat autobiographical? How does a painter control his paint? The mystery is in the making or sometimes in the drying. But always in the beauty of the finished exploration of the art by the artist. The mixed textures seem so perfect and yet totally by accident. Making it a moment that is truly “Art” worthy. Signed, titled and dated on verso. Additional pieces of Peter Buchman fine art available through Highland Park, please contact the dealer for more information.
