Platform bed studio crafted by George Nakashima circa 1960s. It features a mounted walnut slab headboard that display free edge on top. The slab itself is 16.5 inches in height. The bed is supported by four feet with typical wood joints.
The measurement of the platform is 60 inches wide by 75 inches long (this can fit a full size mattress with room on the sides or a custom size Japanese style fulton as intended originally), 11 inches high from the floor. The headboard slab is about 16.5 inches high and it is elevated from the platform by 4 inches, making the total height of the bed 31.5. With the headboard, the total length of the bed is 76 inches.
