This late 20th century monotype on paper botanical abstract with leaves and grass entitled “Frost” is by Santa Fe artist Seymour Tubis (1919-1993). Tubis studied at the Art Students League with Hans Hofmann (1946-1949). He exhibited in Paris in 1950 and won praise from Georges Braque. He was Chair of the Fine Art Department at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe (1963-1980). Signed lower left. The piece will be shipped in a mat to fit a standard sized frame.
